I didn't get to bed as early as I should have after seeing the Yarn Harlot last night. This morning I got up early for me and headed off to a two day workshop on dyeing self striping sock yarn.
An hour and a half after today's dyeing session ended the season-opening Gala for the Pacific Northwest Ballet began.
I changed in the bathroom at the yarn store, scrubbed the dye off my fingers as best I could, and arrived at the event just as Spousal-Unit did.
I wanted to at least wind my little practice skein into a ball tonight so I could swatch it in the morning before Day 2 of the workshop, but it's not dry yet. Spending the evening in the trunk of the car apparently didn't quite do it.
Anyway, it's ten to one (not the 'I'm trying to keep the post in the same day it happened' time you see below) and I need to go to bed.
Tomorrow I should have good photos of hand-dyed yarn. The yarn may not be all that great, as it's a first effort and I expect to try too hard, but I'll try to make the photos especially good.
Oh, and yes, the ballet was very good.
