The knitting consists of the body of my top-down stockinette Mountain Colors cardigan right now, so no exciting photo ops there. I'll let Winnie in her 'If I can't have the lap, I'll claim the knitting stuff' mode entertain you.
We won't talk about how most of yesterday's knitting happened on buses that didn't get me to my cross-town meeting before it was over after the express bus just never came.
I trust the guy who wanted to get to another meeting about four blocks from mine and worked with me to figure out alternate buses to report this to the bus people since he mentioned he worked for the EPA. Fortunately, I didn't decide to bag it and go home for my car since I would still have missed the meeting based on the traffic and embarrassed myself to EPA Guy. And gotten no knitting done.

I've also started my habitual fall of Fall bean cooking. I make large batches (based on a household of two) of three favorite recipes and freeze some so we have them handy. I guess I'll do this even more frequently now that Spousal-Unit's doctor warned him that animal protein intake is the biggest diet factor in his type of kidney stones, including fish and cheese. He already doesn't eat red meat or poultry so the transition won't be big.
I'll post my French Green Lentils in Red Wine later tonight. Right now I need to go shower and dress for the ballet.
I love beans, though they don't love me back. :o(
I also think your kitty cat is adorable: handsome and healthy.

May I just say that the two sentences -
"I'll post my French Green Lentils in Red Wine later tonight. Right now I need to go shower and dress for the ballet."
- are a sign of a well-lived life?
(Non-existent express buses notwithstanding, alas.)
Still sounds damn civilized.

Ooh, that does sound civilized! I'm excited for the recipe - I love lentils. Hope the ballet was wonderful! =)

Thanks, Karen B for the kitty complements. And Karen A (akabini), I definitely try for a well-lived life and tonight did feel like it. I even got a workout in before my post.
The ballet was great - three early Balanchine. Dinner afterward was also good. Now I'll go get the lentil recipe posted before I conk out.

I used to really hate it when the express bus didn't show up. Then three would go by without stopping, because they were all full. Naturally, that only happened when I was early getting to the bus stop. If I was late, the buses were on time. Go figure.
